Barbara H. Irwin

Barbara H. Irwin is the founder and principal of HR Advisors Group LLC, and leads the organization with over 20 years of experience in the field of HR management and organizational development. Ms. Irwin’s quest for excellence has guided the firm in developing an international reputation for effective and efficient Human Resource solutions for our clients enabling them to become leaders in their respective industries.

Prior to forming HR Advisors Group, Ms. Irwin held various executive level HR positions in the engineering and architectural industries, including a Vice President with Montgomery Watson Harza (MWH) and Corporate Director of Human Resources with Dewberry. Other organizations where she has held senior level positions include, Lockheed Martin and Alcon Laboratories Pharmaceutical Corporation.

Ms. Irwin’s talent for human resources strategic initiatives has made her a sought after consultant in the E/A/C industries as well as non-profit organizations. Her approach for identifying, creating and customizing programs for HR Assessments, Training and Development Needs Assistances, Compensation, Benefits and Bonus Studies, Training Programs and other Strategic HR initiatives has brought clarity and direction to her valued clients. This insight has allowed her clients to finely tune both their short and long term business goals aiding them in growing their businesses for future success.

Ms. Irwin holds a MA in Human Resources Management/Development from Marymount University and a BA in Sociology from the University of Maryland. She continues her development in the human resources through active membership in SHRM, HR Leadership Forum and ASTD. She is also a member of the A/E Advisors, which is a group of seasoned professionals focusing their consulting efforts in the E/A/C industries.
